I study how air moves, then build with what I learn. My work spans simulations, sensors, wind tunnels, and robots, turning invisible flow into things you can measure, test, and put to use.

Aerodynamic Drag Reduction in a Passenger Vehicle Using Rear-End Boat-Tail Geometry and a NACA 2310 Spoiler

Accepted at ICMDMSE 2026 · Springer Lecture Notes in Mechanical Engineering (Scopus / EI Compendex indexed)

I modelled a Toyota Innova in ANSYS Fluent and swept four boat-tail taper angles against seven spoiler angles of attack, 28 configurations in all, using steady RANS with the k-ε turbulence model at 40 m/s. A mesh-independence study backed the results. The best case, a 12° taper with a 12° spoiler, cut drag by about 14%.

Pollutant Trapping in Urban Street Canyons: A Lattice-Boltzmann Study

Presented at IEEE GHTC, University of Colorado Boulder

I wrote a D2Q9 lattice-Boltzmann flow solver coupled to a scalar transport model and validated it against CODASC wind-tunnel data. The main finding is that the Péclet number governs how much pollution stays trapped in the canyon. I tied the ventilation results to EPA and WHO exposure limits. A 3D turbulent extension in OpenFOAM is under way for journal submission.

Service & leadership

Diana Award52 schools12 countries

UAE RoboClub

President · founded the club's international outreach program

UAE RoboClub is a student-led nonprofit that runs free robotics and STEM workshops. I started its international arm, working with NGO partners including the Learnovate Foundation in India to bring online workshops to students across 52 schools in 12 countries. The work was recognised with the Diana Award.

Student Council & DIAMUN

Student Council President · Deputy Secretary-General, DIAMUN

I lead the student council at Dubai International Academy and help run DIAMUN, one of the largest Model UN conferences in the MENA region, overseeing committee management, chairs and delegate affairs.

LiftLab desktop wind tunnel

Founder & curriculum designer · mentored by an Emirates Engineering technical services engineer

I built a desktop wind tunnel and 3D-printed airfoils at two scales, then compared the measured lift and drag against my CFD predictions. The numbers did not match at first, and working out why became the core of the curriculum. LiftLab now teaches aerodynamics hands-on through UAE RoboClub.

Air-quality monitor for heritage conservation

Designer & builder · deployed with the Aga Khan Foundation, advised by the Indian Institute of Heritage

A low-cost ESP32-C3 sensor node that tracks CO₂, PM2.5, carbon monoxide, temperature and humidity, streams to Firebase and shows live readings on a React dashboard. Deployed across six museum galleries, the data helped cut peak CO₂ by about 30% and keep humidity inside the conservation band.

About

Simulation, then the real thing

Most of my work follows the same loop. I model a flow on a computer, build something physical to test it, and treat the gap between the two as the interesting part. That loop started with a CFD study of car drag, carried into a lattice-Boltzmann solver for city air pollution, and ended up in a desktop wind tunnel and a set of air-quality sensors running in heritage galleries.

Outside the lab, I run international outreach for UAE RoboClub, captained FIRST Tech Challenge robotics teams, and serve as Student Council President. I also play competitive tennis.
